ANTS

Research Project

All Nations Theological Seminary requires a research project from every graduating student. There are two forms of research papers demanded of students.

Capstone: This is a 50-paged paper a student writes in addition to completing the thirty-six required credits. In the research project, the student synthesizes his or her philosophy of ministry, states his or her strategy, and presents a plan to solicit feedback to determine if the plan is effective. The paper includes a five-year strategic ministry plan based on courses completed for the respective master’s degree. Concepts in the respective master’s degree courses should be evident and integrated throughout the research paper.

Thesis: The Master of Arts thesis is a 80-125 paged paper, which is extensive, ministry-related and scholarly in nature. Every student who finishes a thesis earns six hours of graduate credit. There is always one additional foundational research course to prepare students for this work. The thesis demonstrates the student’s ability to relate fundamental theological and biblical principles to the practice of ministry. Furthermore, it establishes the student’s ability to do careful research while observing academic standards, thereby contributing to the knowledge of Christian Ministry. Thesis route provides the graduate with a 45 credit hour Masters of Arts degree.
